Answer
to Weather Quiz question from November 24.
False. This
happened most recently in 1989 when November and December were both
significantly colder than average.
Ironically, there was a total of 12.5” of snow during the final two
months of 1989 while there was only a total of 2.8” of snow during the first
three months of 1990 in the Nation’s Capital.
It’s very rare for there to be more snow in November and December than
during the rest of the winter in this part of the country.
