Has March been a Quiet Severe Weather Month?
Although spring officially begins during the month of March, the
United States doesn’t usually see a large uptick in severe weather until later
in the spring. In fact, this March has
been an unusually quiet month for severe weather and tornadoes in
particular. The first tornadoes of the
month didn’t form until March 25. To
read more about what “severe” weather is and on where the tornadoes formed this
week, check out the story I wrote this week for the WUSA9 website.
