C.  Although 0.5” of snow fell on April 28, 1898 in Washington, D.C., the latest date in the spring that an inch or more of snow has fallen in the Nation’s Capital was April 12.  On April 12, 1918, Washingtonians observed 2.0” of snow.  Incidentally, the snowiest April on record in Washington, D.C., came in 1924 when a total of 5.5” fell.
