Snow in the Nation's Capital: Presidents Day 2016

Today's Snow Accumulation Forecast   (Source: NWS)

The Mid-Atlantic Region has had many memorable snowstorms over the years with some occurring as early as mid-November and others as late as the second half of March.  However, the month of February has the highest number of top 10 snowstorms in the Nation’s Capital.

Two of them have actually occurred over Presidents Day weekend, so it’s ironic that Presidents Day 2016 has also brought snowfall – albeit a much lesser amount.  Take a look at this article I wrote for the WUSA9 website comparing two of the largest Presidents Day snowstorms to effect Washingtonians.
